Born Of God

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."  John 1:12-13.  One has the right to become a son of God because of Christ.  Those who receive Christ become the sons of God.  The sons of God are born into the family of God.  This birth is not a physical birth.  In a physical birth, blood and flesh are essential.  However, the sons of God become such because of the will of God.  God has made provision for humanity to believe on Jesus and become a child of God.  Jesus lived and died so that all might have the privilege to become a son of God.  Nothing higher can be attained.  Nothing more noble can be accomplished.  Only a few become the children of God because of the willingness to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Only through Jesus can one become a son.  This is the will of God.  This is the grace of God.  Not blood, not flesh, not man's will, but God only offers the beauty of becoming His child through Jesus Christ.
